In the run up to the 2015 General Election pollsters suggested a close race and that any single party would win a majority highly unlikely.

But the Conservatives did win and left the pollsters briefly red-faced, if only for show, as many now suspect the polling companies of not actually playing with a straight bat to service their own ulterior motives.
