The lack of regulation of the financial markets is what not only allowed the unsustainable debt bubble to grow but also what caused it to burst causing the world wide economic crash in 2008. Regulation keeps our families safe through the governance of food fit for sale consumption, our goods safe to operate in our homes and our environment is kept clean and in turn ensures water quality is clean and fit for consumption.
