2016 will go down as the year of extremism. First the referendum resulted in Brexit, then Theresa May was paratroopered into No.10 and imposing her dictatorial will and then Donald Trump runs a divisive campaign to win the US Presidential election. People voted for change, but in the end they only voted for more extreme versions of the politics that have resulted in them being so disatisfied in the first place. Such is the power of the media they can easily lead people to vote counter-intuitively in such vital elections.
