The clown prince of the Tories is always happy to oblige the media with a high profile stunt which to his fans make him a star of the party. But many are now beginning to realise that this facade masks a man with very serious ambitions to lead the country and a ruthless streak to impose his fundamentally hard right policies on the UK. Sadly the country has always liked a grinning buffoon and this has also played out well for Nigel Farage who again and just like Boris has felt the benefit of a favourable media.
