The government has already rolled out it plans for the HS2 high speed train link and now they aim to develop universal high speed internet connections across the country. Recognising that communication links are key to a modern developed economy these things are now seen as standard for any country that wants to compete on the world stage of international commerce and in a country that is so heavily invested in the financial services then the need to introduce all these things is an urgent priority and many would say the country is behind the game as it's main competitors already have these things in place. With the coffers of the Exchequer almost empty since the 2008 financial crash, state capital investment is in short supply and it is almost certain the private sector must be heavily involved if these projects are to ever become reality and eventual completion.
